Me and my husband were visiting south Florida over the valentines day weekend..we wanted Jamaican food for our valentines meal. We found Kaceys on the Internet and saw the excellent reviews.. We called Kaceys to find out if they were taking reservations. We spoke with Marlene, the owner..She told us reservations were not necessary..and asked what we would be eating? we told her that we wanted fish..she told us to call approximately 30 minutes before we came so that she could begin to prepare the meal and not have us waiting a long timely I was already getting warm and fuzzies from the phone call. When we arrived for the meal, we were not disappointed by the meal or the service..My husband and I both wanted red snapper prepared differently..I wanted brown stew fish, my husband wanted steamed with Okra.. My husband had a gungu soup appetizer, were both had a green salad..she prepared carrot juice at our special request..The food and drink were tasty and delicious, but equally impressive was the service, the friendliness of her husband and herself. We HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this establishment!!

As of 10/27/2014 They have decided to close their doors for now and I'm Sad to see them do so...I am still a huge fan and a big supporter...

The food was for my mother in law, which she said it was good. I noticed that he only cooks enough food for the day so when ever he runs out that's it. My girlfriend asked for some patties but he was out and said he wouldn't make anymore until the next day same for some ox tail. I guess that's a good thing that you run out of food means your stuff is good.

Awesome place to eat. still in shock to see they were closed when I last went to get some of their ox tails. They were very customer service oriented and very good food.

Food great! Service out of this world. A hidden gem. Nothing fancy but great taste and quality. We had curry goat, chicken and jerk chicken. A must try.

Great family owned place, great home cooked food. Must stop by and support our local businesses especially since it's far better than the other commercial places.

My Mom lives in an adult community near this restaurant. It is in a tiny strip mall next to an Italian pizza restaurant not worthy of mention. Wanted to take her for a new experience and it was great. The owner/proprietors, Michael and Marlene are beautiful and caring. Michael makes a fresh soup every day and his soup hit my Mom's sweet spot. Michael sat and talked to us about how he sources fresh foods and his inspiration to cook. It was so good, I went 3 times during one visit (the last time to take out the curried goat dish for dinner on my flight back to AZ). My Mom raved about the soup, but because she is a bit on the senile side, I was afraid that she would forget it once I left. Not so!!! When my sister visited months later, my Mom took her (and my sister loved it too). It turns out she frequents the place 1-2x week now. She is crazy about the soup. The owners take personal care of my Mom whenever she comes in, so it would be hard not to write something nice, but the food here is great. I had to dock it a star for ambiance, though: there is a tv in the dining area and there is always some distracting and mindless show on that interferes with the dining enjoyment - which is too bad because Michael will put some awesome ska and reggae on if asked.

Great healthy alternative to other food places in the area. Different vegetable soup and fresh juice everyday. Very tasty. Closed, sorry to see you go.

Best soup ever = Pumpkin & Kale. Great, great meal. We had some other food to go - most of which was fine but the rice and peas was exquisite. Excellent soursop juice with very personalized service. What more could you ask for?!

Awesome Food!!! A must try. Best Authentic Jamaican food in the area. I had the Stew Chicken and Rice & Peas. Can't wait to go back to try the Curry Chicken. Better then any chain restaurant.

While looking for a place to eat near Broward College I was intrigued by this place's rave reviews and decided to check it out. I was not disappointed. I ordered the brownstew chicken (delicious!) and my girlfriend had the oxtail. She's something of a connoisseur of the dish and proclaimed it the best she'd ever had. The prices are reasonable given the quality of the food and the ample portions, and the owners are delightfully friendly. We'll most definitely be back.
